Heat Treating
CKP offers a number of Heat Treating options.
Heat Treat
To fulfill a broad range of customer needs, CKP operates a number of in-line batch furnaces. Using precise instrument controls we are able to produce shallow case depths or deep case hardening on anything from small stampings to large gears. We control case depth and hardness to customer specifications. We also do Carburization, Carbonitriding, Annealing, and Normalizing.
Salt Bath
We have neutral salt bath capability. By using neutral salts, austempering, martempering, and through hardening can be performed on small or large parts.
Vacuum Furnaces
CKP's vacuum furnaces add another dimension to our heat treating capabilities. The furnaces enable us to offer you a variety of processes including brazing, vacuum hardening and annealing, stress relieving and heat treatment of tool steels and stainless steel.
Tempering Furnaces
Our many tempering furnaces will fulfill your standard tempering requirements up to 1100 Degrees Fahrenheit. Fixture tempering is part of this capability.
Continuous Austemper
Our continuous belt austemper furnace can process up to 700 lbs. of parts per hour. The three-foot wide mesh belt can accommodate a variety of size parts.
Sorting and Gauging
At your request, we can provide all types of sorting or gauging to meet your requirements.
Vibratory Finishing
We can deburr a broad range of parts from small, delicate stampings to large bearings or other parts to meet a wide range of finish requirements.
Induction
We have a number of induction machines, which can be readily adapted to local hardening, or annealing of most size parts.
